Yellow Sunset Makeup

Recently I have been seeing all over Instagram and YouTube that everyone has been obsessed with yellow eyeshadow. To be honest I love this trend and I hope it lives, and is not just around for this spring/summer (or winter if you live in Australia).

Eyes

  • Start off by applying a light brown matte shade all over the eyelids.
  • Now apply a yellow eyeshadow all over the eyelids. In order to ensure that the colour is bright you may need to apply a couple of shades onto your eyelids. I personally feel that a cream eyeshadow would work best instead of a powder eyeshadow.
  • Using a hot pink matte shade and a blending brush apply the product on the outer third of your eyes making sure that it blends in with the yellow eyeshadow. When the two colours meet they will create a dark orange colour which will then act as a gradient with the yellow and pink.
  • With a pearly shimmer shade apply it on the inner corner of the eyes. This will allow the eyes to pop.
  • Using a medium brown shade apply it halfway along the lower lash line. By doing this you are creating a balance with your eyes so they don’t look too top heavy.
  • Time for eyeliner, in order to capture the softness of a sunset I would actually suggest that you use a black crayon eyeliner. For this look I applied my eyeliner by starting out and then working my way halfway in and then going back out in order to create the flick.

Lips

  • Using a mauve lip liner apply it all over the lips. This will act as a base and allows the lipstick to stay on longer and not crack.
  • Using a bright orange lipstick apply it all over the lips.

That is it guys. The makeup look is very simple to do and does not take that much time to complete. Please make sure to check out the YouTube tutorial version of this makeup link, which I have linked down below. Also, don’t forget to check out my giveaway, which will be finishing soon.

50+ Followers Giveaway!!!

Hello my lovelies,

If you cannot tell from the title I’m going to be doing a giveaway! I’m doing this giveaway as a celebration for reaching over 50 followers on my blog which is a huge accomplishment for me. I know there are some people out there who don’t think that 50+ is a big accomplishment to have to warrant a giveaway, but to me this is massive. I never in a thousand years imagined that people would actually be interested in the things I post and it makes me so happy every single time i get a notification from my blog from a reader. Although this giveaway is pretty much a shameless YouTube promotion, I still want to celebrate my blog (HEHEHE).

For this giveaway i went out and bought some items in order to make into this cute little bundle. There aren’t that many products, but I hope that whoever wins them still appreciates them. Also this giveaway is going to be open internationally and not just confined to those in Australia.

The products I will be giving away are:

  • The Face Shops’ ‘Herb Day’ cleanser (a great cleanser which does not irritate skin)
  • Victoria’s Secret body lotion in the scent ‘Aqua Kiss’ (my personal favourite body lotion from the Victoria’s Secret collection)
  • The Body Shop’s ‘British Rose’ hand cream (one of my favourite hand creams at the moment with a very powerful scent)
  • Two very adorable key chains

Earring Collection

Today I’m going to be sharing with you all my earring collection in hopes of inspiring you all fashion wise. I am doing this because I always felt inspired after seeing other bloggers share their clothing/accessories collection whether it be handbags, shoes, or earrings. Most of these products were purchased from Lovisa. Honestly, if you want to get a great bargain when purchasing earrings or any other type of jewellery go when they have sales such as ‘5 for $10’ or ‘3 for $25’.

  • Pom Pom Earrings

These pom pom earrings have become a favourite piece in my collection. They are just the cutest things ever which add a certain flair to any outfit. Not only are they eye catching but they are a great conversation starter with others.

  • Silver Geometric Earrings #1

For someone who despises maths, I have a strange fascination with geometric earrings. I especially love them when shapes overlap each other. I feel that by doing this it gives the face and an outfit more dimension and substance.

Kitsch .jpg

  • Hoop Earrings #1

Honestly hoop earrings are an essential in my opinion for everyone out there. Hoop earrings are a classic fashion piece, which I believe are timeless. To me hoop earrings symbolise being fierce, sassy, and confident. Hoop earrings make any outfit more strong and bold.

  • Hoop Earrings #2

If you’re like me and have an unhealthy obsession with hoop earrings, then you most likely have pairs with different textures and designs.

Hoop 1.jpg

  • Coin-inspired Earrings

If one has a plain outfit and would like to spice it up a little bit, I would actually suggest that one puts on a pair of earrings which are intricate in detail.

  • Twirl Earrings

These earrings I wear to formal events when I want to look cute and simple. They are a very dainty pair so one needs to handle with care.

  • Drop Earrings

These earrings are one of my favourites, but they are the most frustrating to put on. This is because the backing is super long and thicker than a normal one, as a result it is difficult to push through and does feel uncomfortable at times.

a

  • Holographic Studs

These studs I bought to give my ears a break from large statement earrings.

b

  • Silver Geometric Earrings #2

Again since I love geometric earrings, I had to own more than one pair.

c

  • Studs with Thread Backing

These are just normal studs with a thread backing. They are great for casual outfits and wear.

-Collage

  • Small Hoop Earrings

One needs to hoop earrings of all shapes and sizes, so I have small ones.

That’s the end of my post, I hope you guys enjoyed reading. As usual i have linked my YouTube video version for you all to check out. Please drop your thoughts in the comments section and I’ll see you all soon.

June Favorites

Hello everybody,

Today I’m going to be sharing with you all my favourite products of the month of June. I don’t have that many products to share with you all this month, considering it was a rather unremarkable month for me.

Makeup

My favourite makeup products of this month will be two lip products. Both of which come from ColourPop cosmetics. If you have read my May Favorites, then you will know that recently I have been dabbling in the world of lipsticks which I have never done in the past.

The first ColourPop lip product is from their ultra glossy lip range and is the shade ‘Up Do’. It’s a lovely peach shade which is perfect for a very subtle look and gives the lips a natural looking shine.  Honestly pair this lip with a nice light pink shimmer shade and you have the perfect spring time look right there.

The next ColourPop lip product is from their ultra satin lip collection in the shade prim. It is a lovely ruby red shade which I have been loving to death. It gives off that really sexy vampy look which I have been obsessed with and have always wanted to do. The only negative I would give this product which I try not to let bother me is that their staying power is not that amazing, as it does slip when I unconsciously wipe at my lips with my hand.

Skincare

My only skincare favourite would be this cleanser from Sukin. It is from their ‘Derma Sukin’ range which is great for sensitive skin and has a very mild and gentle formula. In addition, after using this product it has an instant brightening effect which gives the face a radiant glow. Also, i love how Sukin products are effective and cost affordable.

That’s it guys, that is the end of my blog post. I hope you guys enjoyed reading it. I know it was very short, but i promos next months one will be longer. Also please show support to the YouTube version of my June Faves, it would mean the world to me.

Peachy Keen Makeup Tutorial

Hello my lovelies,

Today I’m going to be sharing with you all this very girly and feminine makeup look inspired by peaches. It incorporates a variety of pinks and tan colours in order to create a soft yet vibrant look. So let’s gets started.

Eyes

  • To start off with apply a light brown matte shade all over the eyelids.
  • Then going in with a shimmer tan shade apply it on the centre of the eyelids.
  • Now using a fluffy blending brush use a light pink matte shade and apply it on the outer third of the eyes. Make sure it blends into the shimmer tan shade on the centre of the eyelids.
  • Use a hot pink matte shade and apply it on the outer third of the crease and the eyelids and blend it into the light pink shade. This will give your eyes more depth. In addition with the same shade apply it on the outer third of the lower lash line.
  • Now to make your eyes pop out some more use a medium brown shade and apply it on the outer crease of the eyes and blend. This will just add a nice colour to seperate the pinks.
  • Using a crayon eyeliner tight-line the outer third of your eyes and the inner third. Using the same eyeliner create a very subtle and thin cat eye. Do not extend the cat eye all the way across the eye only do it half way.
  • Using a matte black shade and an angled brush go over the cat eye and blend it out so it does not look harsh, but soft.
  • Using a pearly white shimmer shade apply it to the inner corners of the eyes, so they pop out.
  • To finish off the look apply generous coatings of mascara to the top and bottom lashes.

Lips

  • Apply a glossy peach shade on the lips.

That is it the look is now complete! I hope you guys enjoyed reading this and that you try it out. Don’t forget to leave me a comment down below I would love to hear your thoughts.

Colourpop Cosmetics Unboxing

Hello cuties,

A couple of weeks ago I ordered products for the very first time off of the Colourpop store and they finally came today. I always heard great reviews online about Colourpop cosmetics and I decided to check it out for myself and to see if it was worth the hype.

First and foremost I was pleasantly surprised at how cheap and cost-effective most of the items were. Lipstick for only $6 to me is an amazing deal, because I honestly expected to pay $15 for one tube of lipstick. In addition I also expected to pay an arm and a leg for shipping, but it was only $9.99 for any orders that were under $50 (international not within the US), which also surprised considering that was very cheap to ship from America all the way to Australia. My order took 10 days to get from the US to Australia.

For my first ever order I wanted to get their infamous lipsticks and their eyeshadows, so I decided to buy their ‘Nectar Collector’ which consisted of their ‘Blow Me Away’ eye shadow palette and their ‘Phase 1’ lip bundle. Along with the products I bought I was also able to get two free mini travel sized lipsticks. Unfortunately the ‘Nectar Collector’ is no longer available on the website, so if you want to buy those products you have to buy them separately.

My firs impressions on the products were that I was very surprised by how smooth and velvety the lip products were, they just glided on to my lips. There was no sticky feeling and my lips did not become dry, nor did they crack. The only negative would be that the lipsticks are not really smudge free and they do budge if I wipe my hand or a napkin across my lips.

Frick N' Frack

This one is great versatile colour which is very easy to pair with different outfits.

likeyy

This shade was the most upsetting to me because I thought it would be much darker.

prim

This one has to be the best colour out of all of them! It’s my first ever shade that is dark and vampy and I’m loving it.

Up Twirl

This colour I gave to my Mum because she loves vibrant pinks like this, so I couldn’t swatch it on my lips.

updoo

I normally am not a fan of glosses, but this one surprised me a lot. It gave a light sheen did not feel sticky and the colour was a very natural light pink.

As for the eyeshadows I still haven’t tested them out or done a swatch test because I want to create an eye look and then test out their staying power.

That’s the end of my post, I hope you guys enjoyed reading it. As always if you enjoyed reading my post please leave a comment and like this post.

Van Gogh: Four Seasons Collection

Today as part of my French cultural unit at school I got to go on a school trip to the National Gallery  of Victoria (NGV) in order to see Van Gogh’s Four Seasons Collection. The whole purpose of this collection was to focus on not only Van Gogh’s famous works which he is known for (Starry Night, Sunflowers), but his earlier works and the works that inspired himself. The theme of the collection were the four seasons of winter, summer, spring, and autumn which together symbolised the circle of life.

I thought it was amazing to see that Van Gogh was inspired not only by other western and European artists but eastern and Japanese artists. Van Gogh based many of his later works off of Japanese woodblock prints which focuses not on depth but on emphasising lines. I further enjoyed the evolution of Van Gogh’s works from the grey and dull drawings and paintings to the then more vibrant and colourful paintings with colours that stand out and contrast each other.

The only downside at visiting his exhibition was that there was a lot of people and that meant a lot of pushing and shoving and being unable to see most of the work. Aside from that it was truly beautiful and I am so lucky to have visited the exhibition.

Furthermore, what I love about the NGV is that they have some exhibitions on display for FREE! Which is great if you wanna pop by and just have look at some art.
