Soft, Unique Makeup Tutorial

Hello everybody,

Today I’m going to be sharing with you all how to create this makeup look which is very soft and unique as it incorporates both warm and cool tones.

Eyes

  • To begin with apply a tan shade all over the eyelids using a big fluffy eyeshadow brush.
  • Using a small eyeshadow brush apply a shimmery brown shadow on the inner corners and outer corners of the eyelid.
  • In the centre of the eyes apply a matte neutral pink shade on the centre of the eyes. You can build the colour up until you get the desired shade.
  • Using a flat eyeshadow brush apply a hot pink matte shade on the outer corner of the eyes by first creating a ‘v’ shape and then blending the colour in.
  • Using a small eyeshadow brush apply a light blue shimmer shadow on the lower lash line only on the inner and outer lower lash line.
  • Using a black eyeliner line the upper lash line (try not to make the line too thick) and only creating a very small flick

Lips

  • Using a purple/red dark lipstick apply it on the bottom of your lips.
  • Smack your lips and distribute the colour evenly using your finger.
  • You don’t want your lipstick to be harsh but rather soft.

I hope you guys enjoyed reading my post and if you want to see the YouTube version of this post I have posted a link down below. Also, please share with me your thoughts on this makeup look in the comments down below.

50+ Followers Giveaway!!!

Hello my lovelies,

If you cannot tell from the title I’m going to be doing a giveaway! I’m doing this giveaway as a celebration for reaching over 50 followers on my blog which is a huge accomplishment for me. I know there are some people out there who don’t think that 50+ is a big accomplishment to have to warrant a giveaway, but to me this is massive. I never in a thousand years imagined that people would actually be interested in the things I post and it makes me so happy every single time i get a notification from my blog from a reader. Although this giveaway is pretty much a shameless YouTube promotion, I still want to celebrate my blog (HEHEHE).

For this giveaway i went out and bought some items in order to make into this cute little bundle. There aren’t that many products, but I hope that whoever wins them still appreciates them. Also this giveaway is going to be open internationally and not just confined to those in Australia.

The products I will be giving away are:

  • The Face Shops’ ‘Herb Day’ cleanser (a great cleanser which does not irritate skin)
  • Victoria’s Secret body lotion in the scent ‘Aqua Kiss’ (my personal favourite body lotion from the Victoria’s Secret collection)
  • The Body Shop’s ‘British Rose’ hand cream (one of my favourite hand creams at the moment with a very powerful scent)
  • Two very adorable key chains

Of course there are some rules that apply to this giveaway.

In order to be eligible:

  • If your are not already you must be following my blog
  • You must be subscribed to my YouTube channel: TheMakeupDumpling (because I need more love on my channel and I’m shameless)
  • You need to like and comment on any of my YouTube videos that I have already uploaded answering the question of “What do you want to see more of from me?” The question can either be relating to my blog or YouTube channel or both. WHEN COMMENTING ON THE YOUTUBE VIDEO PLEASE STATE YOUR BLOG USERNAME IN THE END SO I KNOW PLEASE.

This giveaway will finish on the 8th of August where I will announce the winner on my blog and at the end of my latest video on YouTube. I will contact the winner through a message on their YouTube account.

Again I would like to thank everyone who has supported me throughout my journey starting this blog and I hope you will join me on my YouTube journey. In addition, I hope my blog and YouTube channel grow with you guys so I can then celebrate with you all by doing a 100 follower giveaway which will be a bigger and better giveaway.

NOTE: please be cautious of hackers and scammers (I know I’m a small blog and channel, but I want to be cautious just in case). Please do not give out any contact details to any accounts claiming to be me, before the 8th of August or after.

May Favorites

Hello my lovelies,

Today I’m going to be sharing with you guys my favorite products of the month of May, so let us get started!

Makeup

So this month I decided to try something new and I started dabbling with lipsticks. Normally lipsticks never took my fancy simply because I never thought they looked good on me, but I’ve been experimenting with different shades to see which would suit me. For this month I’ve been loving ‘3ina’s The Longwear Lipstick in 502’, it is a beautiful matte pink shade with hints of a purple base. I love the fact that this lipstick doesn’t smudge and the lip gloss style applicator makes it easier to apply. Also a little extra the lipstick literally smells like chocolate and I love it, it’s better than smelling like chemicals!

Beauty

Recently I have actually stopped using shampoo and actually started using bicarbonate soda instead. I won’t get too deep into this change of regime. as I’ll talk about it another time. Anyway, one of the things that I have recently invested in has been the ‘Face Shop’s Cherry Blossom hair mist’. I have used this product in the past and I was not really a fan of it, but I decided to give it one more try and it has become one of my favourite products. Before I only thought that it just made my hair smell nice, but it also gives my hair a long lasting shine which I have been loving.

Another beauty favourite of mine would be these ‘Kink-Free Spiral hair ties’. My hair is weird and ties itself into knots a lot especially when I used traditional hair ties and I found that they also tugged on my hair a lot and would be very painful. You wouldn’t think these spiral hair ties would be  effective in putting hair into a ponytail, but it has been amazing

I hope you guys have enjoyed reading this post and that May treated you all well. To be honest for me May was a little rough considering it is getting colder here in Australia, so getting out of bed is harder. I’ve been buried under stacks of homework and tests which have also caused me to experience a lot of stress. But hey May is gone and a new month has arrived, lets hope it’ll treat me and you all better. Also, I would love it if you guys checked out my YouTube video on my May favorites.

BOLD MAKEUP LOOK

Hello my lovelies,
Today’s look is very unique and eyecatching and combines both warm and cool tones. This look is great for anyone who is experimenting with makeup and would like to create a statement look, but is not too over the top.

Eyes

  1. Using a pearly white shade apply it all over to the eye lids.
  2. Using a fluffy blending brush use a peach colour and apply it all over the eye lids.
  3. With an angled fluffy brush use a tan shade and apply it on the crease.
  4. Using the same angled brush apply a dark brown shade all over the crease. This will add more definition to the eyes.
  5. On the outer half of the lower lash line apply a dark blue shimmer shade with hints of green. (Look for a seaweed kind of colour)
  6. On the inner hald of the lower lash line apply a ight blue shimmer shade.
  7. With a black eyeliner create a very subtle cat-eye, the main focus should be the blue eyeshadow not the eyeliner.
  8. Now load up your top lashes with mascara. Do not apply any on your lower lashes.

Lips

  1. Line the lips with a mauve lip pencil.
  2. Using a baby pink matte liquid lipstcik apply it all over the lips.

That is the finished look. Please let me know in the comments down below if you liked the look, and check out the YouTube video I made of this look.

Empties: Korean Skincare #2

Hey cuties,

I am back with another empties post for you all about some Korean skin care products which I have used. Same thing goes like in the last post, I will write a description about my experiences with the product and I will give a rating out of 5. I hope you enjoy reading this post, as you did the last one.

Baby Leaf Green Tea Waterfull Emulsion (The Face Shop)

To be honest this emulsion was very forgettable, it did the job of adding an extra layer of moisture to my skin. Aside from that there was nothing really spectacular about it.

Score: 3/5

True Relief Moist Emulsion (Etude House)

Compared to the Green Tea emulsion the formula for this one was a little bit thicker. Regardless, the product was very moistening to my skin without leaving a greasy or oily feel.

Score: 4/5

True Relief Moist Cream (Etude House)

Like its’ emulsion counterpart the cream moisturizer was very soothing to my skin and helped moisturize my skin without leacing a greasy or oily feel. What’s more it absorbed very well into my skin.

Score: 5/5

Play Therapy Sleeping Pack (Moist Up) (Etude House)

This product is actually the most amazing thing ever. I don’t know what magic ingredients Etude House put into this sleeping mask, but it does wonders to my skin. During the winter my skin tends to dry out considering when I go outside it’ll be freezing cold and when I go insider it’ll be hot with the heater blasting. Therefore, it is only fair that my skin will dry out and suffer. That is where this product steps in and repairs and moisturizes my skin during the night whilst I sleep.

Score: 5/5

I hope you guys enjoyed reading this Empties article. Furthermore, I have attached a video of an Empties I did for my YouTube channel. This is my first ever YouTube video and I hope you support me and watch, like and subscribe.

Empties: Korean Skincare

Hello my lovelies,

Here I have compiled a list of all the Korean skincare products I have bought over the past few months and have used up. I am going to rate these products out of five, along with a description of my experiences with the product and my satisfaction.

AC Clean Up Toner (Etude House)

To be perfectly honest with you guys this product was honestly very forgettable. It was not amazing, but it was not useless. I have acne prone skin and it did soothe my acne a little bit, but it did not reduce the redness around my skin.

Score: 3/5

AC Clean Up Gel Lotion (Etude House)

This product left my skin feeling very smooth and silky after application and did not dry out my skin after a couple of hours. Although the product is advertised for those with acne prone skin I unfortunately suffered more break outs whilst using this product. However, I am unsure whether or not the blame should be pinned onto the product or school stress. So I’ll give the product some leeway.

Score: 3.5/5

AC Clean Up After Balm (Etude House)

This product has saved me from really bad breakouts that have planted their ugly selves onto my face. It works fast to calm the area, reducing redness, and the size of the pimple. What’s more it doesn’t dry out the area and leave it patchy. The only downside would be that I needed to use a lot of product on the infected area.

Score: 4/5

Miracle Food 10 Solution Cream (Skinfood)

Out of all of the products mentioned this one has to be the priciest one, but it was definitely worth the price. I mainly used this product when I was in the Philippines, and it did an amazing job of not slipping off my face considering the sticky humidity. The product kept my face moisturised and it left my complexion looking bright and fresh.

Score 5/5

Watery Berry Gel Cream (Skinfood)

Again another product on the pricier end, but well worth it. This product was very light and hydration to my skin quickly. I felt the effects of this cream when overnight as when I woke up in the morning my skin (especially my eye bags) didn’t feel like a depleted mess and felt bouncy.

Score: 5/5

Chia Seed Moisturising Cream (The Face Shop)

This product had to be the worst one that I used, as after a couple of uses it made my skin very dry and patchy and it did not feel nice at all. However, I do give the product props, as for hygiene reasons they give you a little plastic spoon so that germs from your finger aren’t transferred onto the product.

Score: 2.5/5

Herb Day Cleansing Foam Peach (The Face Shop)

This cleanser is a great cleanser, as not only does it brighten my skin but it also leaves it feeling very smooth. What’s more it is not even that expensive and is very cost efficient for any budget.

Score: 4.5/5

That’s the end of my empties article and I hope that you guys enjoyed reading it. Please comment down below your thoughts on the products, as I would love to hear you opinions.
